Roles and Responsibilities:
• Detailing (80%)
The incumbent is responsible for detailing and to educate doctors through
informative dialogue: He/she has to provide a high
level of knowledge (both product and disease state) to ensure doctor confidence in
recommending product. He/she needs to manage the distribution of the relevant POS, samples
and other marketing materials to doctors where applicable the incumbent will be responsible
for negotiating to be retailed from the Doctors office. It will be required to set up a cabinet and assist to set up ordering process in medical practice for in order to drive
visibility, distribution, awareness and sales
• Pharmacy Training (20%)
The incumbent is responsible for ongoing pharmacy front shop & pharmacist education in order
to generate recommendations for Company product to the pharmacy. He/she will also be training large
groups as organized by head office.
• Congress and Events, CME
The incumbent is responsible for attending relevant congresses, and arranging own regional
events in order to further develop medical practitioner and pharmacy relations and
recommendations.
• Planning
Incumbent is responsible for Territory Management (call & route planning) at most efficient
time/ cost benefit and maintaining their data base of targeted clients
• Other
1. Teamvoice – the incumbent will participate in the annual Team Voice audit conducted
by BDF.
2. Customer (Doctor) related queries & issues – internal and external – It is the
responsibility of the incumbent to respond to any queries or issues relating to his or her
customer account (s)
3. Meetings – internal – It is the responsibility of the incumbent to attend internal meetings
and to input where necessary to help support other BDF functions.
4. Database Management – it is the responsibility of the incumbent to update/manage and
analyze the Doctors Database.
5. PIs – it is the responsibility of the incumbent (where relevant) to ensure that PIs are
introduced to customers appropriately to ensure that pricing is accepted and facilitated
in a timely and efficient manner.
6. Filing – it is the responsibility of the incumbent to ensure that all information relating to
their accounts is clearly filed electronically on the BDF Shared drive or in the paper files
for the relevant customer. All files must be kept up to date.
7. Competitor activity– it is the responsibility of the incumbent to regularly feedback
competitor activities in the doctor’s office.
Key Requirements :
• Calls on, develops and manages strong relationships with Pharmacists, Beauty Advisors
and Store Managers.
• Acts as the “face of The Company” through contact with medical professionals and
participates actively in the sales marketing campaign.
• Maintains superior levels of product, market and formulary information, and translates
product features into benefits that meet the specific customer’s needs.
• Builds and maintains favorable strong relationships with key opinion leaders to enhance
the professionalism of the company and transfer the message of the brands.
• Expert on the portfolio indications related to the Company’s products and the brands.
• Participating in all annual and mandatory internal training requirements.
• Marketing all products and driving sales through the pharmacy/dispensing points.
• Consult and training on the Company’s range of products and related medical
Conditions
Qualifications:
A tertiary qualification in Life Sciences, Sales, Marketing or Business
Skills and experience required:
Minimum 2 years sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in dermatology
Experience of direct selling to pharmacies in the territory as well as established relationships is a
must.
Strong sales performance track record
Proficiency in Business English (written & spoken).
Generic portfolio direct sales experience will be advantageous Advanced proficiency in MS Office
Reporting: Medical manager

Good relationship with KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders)
